This wedding was just a dream come true! A beautiful DIY wedding in a little forest at the bottom of a garden in Kent. The whole family pitched in to create a beautiful setting for Liz and James by making a wedding arch and decorating it with hundreds of roses and a chesterfield sofa, stringing fairy lights and chandeliers in the trees, adding a flower-covered swing and even baking the cake (that's the way to win bridesmaid brownie points!). The happy couple had done the legal part of their ceremony a few days earlier, so the pressure for them was slightly less on this day.
The morning started with an army of hair stylists and make-up artists getting everyone ready. They were all guests at the wedding too so they slipped into their outfits as soon as work was finished (hair stylist Craig Chapman's jacket was a definite hit!) and the bridesmaids shone like no one else in gold sequins. The ceremony was officiated by one of the couple's friends in the little forest at the bottom of the garden, with all their friends and family watching on. A load of confetti followed, and they had a cocktail reception while enjoying the sunshine. There was a marquee set up for the meal and party and everyone enjoyed the fading light as the all the fairylights in the forest lit up.
Liz and James, thank you so much for letting me photograph your garden wedding. What an amazing day! G xx
